Easy Data is the solution for managing production operations in textile manufacturing companies (spinning, warping, sizing, weaving, dyeing, finishing).

Easy Data is a software and hardware system that shows production data in real time, making it simple to get updates on work in progress and check on the workers in the various production departments.

The principal aims of the system are:

1. Reception of production plans (yarn set-up, warp beams and sizing, weaving sections, set-up of dyeing and finishing) from the management system and arranging them for the correct machines.
2. Local and autonomous management of operations outside the schedule.
3. Gathering data from and monitoring the performance of the production plant and machinery in real time.
4. Sending production data (operation of yarn spinning machines, warp beams and sizing, woven sections produced, operation of dyeing and finishing machines) back to the management system.
5. Managing reporting and graphics for analysis of production and worker performance.

The client-server architecture selected for the system, with its highly modular design, enables it to be used successfully in all the different types of company operating in the textile sector, from the small workshop to the largest industrial complex, including those with production facilities in different geographic locations.

The system, comprises a number of PCs or industrial terminals or one or two personal computers, according to the requirements of the company.

The data collection terminal interfaces with the production plant and machinery (spinning machines, looms, warpers and sizers), receiving feed-back about the status of the machinery and overseeing the operations of the workers. Industrial PCs connected to the server via an Ethernet are used for dyeing and finishing processes.

The data collection terminal:

1. is guaranteed adequate protection from power fluctuations and fully meets the standards for industrial use.
2. is equipped with a display designed to showing the maximum information, with an alpha-numeric keyboard, complete with special function keys.
3. is powerful and user-friendly.

The terminals are interconnected by an industrial-grade, standard S485, serial network. Each network terminates in a personal computer (concentrator) which essentially performs the function of memorising all the data collected in the database server. There is no limit to the number of concentrators installed in the system and consequently to the number of possible interface devices.

A software program analyses the data collected and then presents a series of reports and graphics relating to production and worker performance. This software can be installed on any machine, either on or off company premises, that is connected via the network, including via the Internet, to the database server
